獨居的何伯漸漸年長，愛護他的親友聘請了外傭照顧他，今次受到委托除了整理伯伯的家之外，以及小改動的情況下加建一間工人房。



協助長者處理家居空間的時候，我們在不同的個案也發現長者未必一下子適應新改動的環境，所以通常都以「少改動，大不同」的出發點而規畫。尤其獨居的伯伯，確是需要時間去適應之餘，安全實用是重點。



配合伯伯的日常生活，我們簡單地做了以下修葺：



✅廚房- 取消了煤氣爐之後，日常生活改為電爐煮食，但礙於原本灶頭的高度我們添置了櫃桶櫃，除了多了收納空間之外，也讓灶頭的高度提升了，適當高度的配合，讓長者的日常生活更方便。



✅只是簡單的移動原本的高身儲物櫃就可以騰出空間做了一間休息室，既沒有花耗大的金錢之餘，也善用原本的資源和讓空間發揮最大作用，而過程中亦需要整理收納，讓不再需要用的物品整理好，騰出更多空間讓長者的活動範圍擴展，而且家居也舒適了很多。



✅燈光-原本家居的燈光完全不足夠，因為長時間燒了燈膽沒有修理造成晚上的燈光嚴重不足，我們添置了新的燈飾之後讓整個家居光猛及舒適了。

長者也因為有充足的光線加添安全感。



Uncle Ho, who lives alone, is getting older. His loving relatives and friends have hired a maid to take care of him. This time, he was entrusted to build a workers' room with minor changes in addition to tidying up his home.

When assisting the elderly in dealing with home space, we have also found in different cases that the elderly may not adapt to the newly changed environment at once, so we usually plan with the starting point of "less changes, big differences". Especially the elderly who live alone do need time to adapt, safety and practicality is the key.

In line with uncle's daily life, we simply made the following repairs:

✅Kitchen - After canceling the gas stove, daily life changed to electric stove cooking, but due to the original height of the stove we added a drawer cabinet, in addition to more storage space, also make the height of the stove improved, appropriate height matching, so that the elderly's daily life more convenient.

✅ Just simply move the original high cabinets can free up space to make a rest room, not spending a lot of money, but also make good use of the original resources and let the space play the maximum role, and in the process also need to organize storage, so that no longer need to use items organized, free up more space for the elderly to expand their activities, and the home is much more comfortable.

✅ Lighting - The original home lighting is completely insufficient, because the bulb burned for a long time without repair causing serious lack of lighting at night, we added new lighting after making the whole home bright and comfortable.
The elderly also have a sense of security because of the ample light.
